Penumbra Inc. with its headquarters in California is a medical equipment manufacturing company bettering the lives of patients and elevating the conditions of hospitals all around the globe with its leading technologies and innovations. It specializes in inventing medical equipment for interventional therapies to treat vascular conditions such as stroke and aneurysm.
Upendra Devkota Memorial National Institute of Neurological and Allied Sciences is a hospital (UDM-NINAS) situated in Nepal founded in 2006 with the primary goal of providing state of the art care for brain, spinal, and other allied specialties within one hospital.The equipment invented by Penumbra Inc. is put into effective use by the health specialists working at UDM-NINAS.
Threemm Films Pvt. Ltd. was assigned a short video project to capture the uses of the equipment provided by Penumbra Inc. to UDM-NINAS to create awareness during the world stroke day. The motto of the project was; “advancing stroke care facilities globally” and its importance was felt by each of the people involved in making this project a success.

The primary objective of the project was to follow the head surgeon, Dr. Subash Phuyal, along with an interview to understand his role, his daily activities in the hospital and the use of the medical equipment provided by Penumbra Inc. The team at Threemm Films got in touch with the doctor beforehand and both the parties were briefed regarding the shoot, access and the safety measures that must be taken while filming within hospital premises.
